Frequently Asked Questions
What services do you offer?
We offer home-based stays, in-home care, daytime visits, walks, and simple daily support such as feeding and medication. If you need something specific, we’re happy to discuss it.
How many dogs do you care for at one time?
We intentionally keep things small. Typically 1–2 visiting dogs at our home at a time, depending on temperament and compatibility.
Where will my dog stay during a home-based stay?
Your dog stays in our Bridgehampton home — a relaxed, comfortable environment with a fenced yard, indoor space, and plenty of downtime. This is not a kennel; it’s truly a home setting.
Who will be caring for my dog?
One of our small team members: Victoria, Merrill, or Cheryl. You’ll always know who is caring for your dog.
Is Darby always there?
Yes — Darby is our calm, friendly golden retriever and gently welcomes new dog friends. If your dog prefers space, we can easily separate.
Do you offer care in my home?
Yes. We offer in-home care including overnights, extended visits, or support for dogs who feel best in their own space.
Do you take dogs with medical needs?
We can administer oral or topical medications and simple injections, but we are unable to perform any specialized medical procedures.
Do you accept all breeds and sizes?
Yes — as long as the dog is friendly, social, and safe in a home environment.
Do you require a meet-and-greet?
Yes. We meet your dog in advance to make sure the fit is right for everyone.
What should I bring for a home-based stay?
Your dog’s food, medications, leash/harness, their bed if that makes them more comfortable, and a favorite toy. We provide additional cozy beds, bowls, and lots of attention.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured through Pet Care Insurance, a national provider specializing in small, hands-on pet-care businesses. Our coverage includes general liability and care-custody-control protection for the dogs in our care.
